I would print these on an outdoor vinyl, something like SP112 from Grafitype.

Sticks to most things, and will last long enough.

Don't think you need to be too worried about the feel as that is not the purpose IMHO

Funny old thing.....I have a roll of that very vinyl here. I thought it would be OK but not too sure of the effects of cold/condensation on the adhesive.

Have used this vinyl on lots of things and it seems to work. I would suggest you trial a bit first though.

I use s112 also for some decals and I would say it should be fine on wine bottles

Vinyl onto glass is simply down to the micron thickness. ie the thinner the better.
If you can print and cut onto the thinnest micron vinyl you currently have and try a test you will find your own answer.
