What about using the WOW mugs. http://www.listawoodtradesupplies.com/p ... &gid=LTSWO So that the design shows when a hot drink is in the mug.

Thanks for the info folks.....looks like I'll be trying to convince this 'potential' customer that what he want's is not possible. A bit of 'marketing' chat is needed methinks.

Would they be faster movers if the panel went around the mug like the old Listawood ones?

I had a semi-regular customer who bought a bunch of black mugs with a design that went around the mug for which I used Listawood's ones. When I tried to offer the customer your one (extolling the virtues of it being dishwasher safe), it was no good because the design wasn't suited to a single square panel on one side of the mug.

With your black mug, we can neither put an image on both sides as we would with a white mug, nor can we do a landscape "wrap" style print as we would with a white mug.

I wonder if that's what contributes to them being a slow mover.

They do (did) have a wrap panel - "The white printable panel is approx 80mm by 180mm and smooth to the touch"

Did you change supplies, then? The ones I'd bought from you, and have been failing to sell, had a single 100x80mm panel. If you'd said that you'd changed them, I may have had more success in selling them.

Yes we did change some time ago and updated the website with the information at the time, but very little interest in these (compared to other types of mugs) anyway.

Whenever I looked, the image and text looked the same. I didn't examine the description far enough to see that a 0 had changed to an 8. A bit more notification might have resulted in more sales.

I still have a number of the single square panel ones here, but I ran out of the wide panel ones and didn't think to stock any more because I thought the only ones available were non-dishwasher ones from Listawood. Rather than push the product, I relegated it to an "order on demand" product. With the only two options being either non-dishwasher or single square panel, the orders diminished.

Pity I didn't know sooner.
