Lol. One of the lens coatings is water repellent so rain etc. Tends not to dry in situ as much, runs off more....makes them easier to clean!

interested what your perscription is, - are you going for top spec top specs?
If you have big correction, need supervariofocals in ultra light with multi coatings it can add up, - but do you really need all that ? - I won a pair of £300+ specs from a top optician, and they were no better than £60 for 2 pairs from specsavers, - thou they did look a bit snazzier!

I need varifocals,, I have look at the web but not sure who to pick. I look at my prescription and what I suppose to fill on the web site and have hesitated just in case I order biggles double goggles, but there is way on earth will I buy them in the shop, because once I pick them I'm stuck with them unlike a shop where you can go and have adjustments made

My glasses are a bit expensive because I have a very rare eye condition so need special lenses. In fact my eye condition is so rare there has been several times in the past where university students have had to examine me as part of their finals which I was paid for. The optician I went too was a professor at the university here who had his own shops too. In fact it was my optician who invented the machine to test for glaucoma, the one that blows a puff of air into each eye. He retired a few years ago & now I see one of his students who was one of the students who examined me many years ago as part of his finals. The best bit is that I get a nice discount now because at times they will ask me to go in so some new students working in the shop can examine me to see if they can pick up my eye condition with it being so rare. The last time they did this the student who they had there got very excited when he realised my eye condition & said he had only read about the problem in books & never thought he would meet someone with it.
