so the newsletter will be from a group of retailers then, that sounds cunning, but weekly still might be too frequent for some

I hope it's successful for you, but weekly - I can see it ending up flagged as spam and getting you blacklisted. You've got a point Laura, could be an age thing and only younguns enjoying it compared to the older ones thinking it's bombardment.
You'll have to let us know how it pans out!

Excuse me Laura but, my head still says I'm 18 however my body thinks otherwise
It is also like leaflets through the door which I just bin now because we get so many of them. Last week alone we got at least 3 leaflets every single day. Seems like the fast food business in Bradford is so competitive

hopefully not spam or cunning really, just another way of reaching out to people (ahem) but only to people that specifically want to receive it - and they will choose the frequency....once I sort out the best way forward hopefully I'll nail down the best way - thats why I want a mail client so I cant get some proper stats on what happens......

Lee I use awebber, they arnt the cheapest, they have a double opt in procedure, and i find 99% of my customers subscribe. I dont bombard them with weekly or monthly offers, but they do get an imformative newsletter infrequently. Once or twice a year I add an offer to it for a limited time period with a special one off page on my website that comes down at offer end date. The link to this is in the email, I get a 20-25% response from these offers. How do I know this, simple as the only way to get to the offer is from the link in the newsletter.
