lol its flat baking sheet of ebay. its flat with no texture on so is perfect. also is very soft so there is no need for huge pressure to fill uneven blanks. i will post link soon.


i recommend this sheet as is huge. i cut it it for two different sizes for big blanks and still got some strips for smaller mugs

Just about to buy a Teflon/silicon sheet, lots cheaper than Teflons I assume it does the same job?? Thanks Paul

Do you need to adjust time to allow for thickness of sheet? Also does it need to be pre-heated at all?

Teflon sheet has dferent purpose. So is good to hav it. Silicon is only needed for some bpanks. Not all of them. And yes. You need to rise your time and temp a bit

So, I am back with some another results - still not happy at all.

It looks like is problem on same places. What should I do next? Change place under heat press, add more pressure, do not try wrap paper around (just fix it), in middle of pressing time turn around?

Any advices? Or had anyone similar problem or results with some printing?

I do not have any problem with normal pressing - up to 60sec. This is first long time pressing product.

you dont give them enough heat buddy!
I would suggest at least 205C as stone is cold and thick. also give them 8 minutes.

Allright Paul, next test - 205C - 480sec - preheat and them sure is good presure on them, at least medium.

What do you think, could be problem in position of rock slate on heat press? Rock slate is a bit higher product, so that heat press shoulder could be in incline position, this can explain better results on top area of image. (just off my head).

i dont think is heat press mate. just mak sure you preheat your slate for at least 1min. then position your picture and off you go for another 480sec

If you think that could be problem with cold stone, I will give him preheat at least 2 min... I have just rock slate in heat press (clam) and it looks like it is different pressure on top and bottom, it can be problem with that not enough temperature in bottom...
