We gave up on our 1400 and CISS after finding it too temperamental to rely on for a business, and upgraded to an Epson Stylus Pro large format, and there has been no looking back. A difference of night and day.

Still using a couple of 1400s but after two failed CISS systems they now use refillables.
We have several Epsons here but only two using dye-sub ink.
Come to think of it, now that we use refillable carts they don't seem to need much more care than our px710 that still uses CISS for normal dye ink.
It's beginning to make us think there is more of an issue with CISS than with dye-sub ink :confused:

I am using refillable cartridges but today I cant get a good nozzle print looks like it is going through window

is the epson sx445w any good for sublimation? giving up on the 1400
