i actually contacted yahoo once because 99% of these scam emails come from their system
the response made me laugh as basically they wanted to know who sent them what address etc and all personal info of that person before they would even have a look into it.
what a load of twaddle
i hate yahoo i think it's the worst email system out there
*rant over lol
HMRC hoax emails started early
Re: HMRC hoax emails started early
I got mine from HMRC Scam a couple of weeks ago alomg with the ones trying to sell me iffy Viagra whilst others offered me a way to extend my manhood whilst at the same time another one offered me ways to enhance my bust size. Luckily all these drop straight into my spam which I just delete on mass every other day. I've lost count now how many banks that I'm a customer at & some of the banks are in countries I've never visited........lol.
When I worked for RBS on concerns & complaints one of my jobs was dealing with customers who had given the scammers all their details. You had to be blunt with them & ask why they answered the scam & some of the answers you got from them just made you shake your head & want to ask them why they were so stupid. I'd then have to spend the next few hours closing their accounts & cancel all their cards so I could open new accounts for them & issue them with new cards etc. You'd be amazed at how many people do answer these email scams.
As for the telephone scams well, my mother is the best at answering them. She is 82 years old & she'll get someone call her to tell her she has won £10,000 & before they can say anything else she just says 'that's great just send the cheque' & hangs up........lol. The other week someone called her & asked if she had satellite TV & she just said 'yes thanks' & hung up........lol. My mother is one OAP they are never going to catch out.
If you want to know how to deal with a telemarketer have a listen to this because it is brilliant & so funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvJQxgtJW94

Heard that before Ian - it is really funny (nearly as funny as the Asda's prank call by whackhead simpson - but that's for another thread and I don't want to go too much off topic).Ian M;38509 wrote:If you want to know how to deal with a telemarketer have a listen to this because it is brilliant & so funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvJQxgtJW94

Would have been funnier without the laughing over it, but that's very good.Ian M;38509 wrote:If you want to know how to deal with a telemarketer have a listen to this because it is brilliant & so funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvJQxgtJW94
