at coventry there is a booth outside the stadium whee you can get personalised gists, it was not open when we were there for the show, but it would have been interesting to see exactly what they did

There are often ways around the official badges/names as many a market trader will have clubs nicknames and colours etc on scarves and other merchandise. The club could claim it's passing off but there are too many grey areas for them to bother worrying about. They want to protect their name and club badge primarily so it's the only route of official merchandise.

For anyone thinking of going direct..... if you want to make a decent enough profit or get paid in less than 3 months of handing over the goods I wouldn't bother looking at football clubs. It would always be hard work to get an appointment let alone further down the line. Each club will have their prefered supplier which they tend to stick to out of ease.
