smitch, i was trying to say that you just could not walk into a hall full of kids/brownies/scouts and start clicking your camera. I have done well with local groups, and i thought it worth passing on

I was recently asked by my kids school to setup at the Christmas fair.
I suggested the dye-sub mugs - santa and kids photo printed on the spot.
Mayhem. Fantastic. Blind panic and adrenelin - and a weeks backlog of work (Ok could have been done in a days backlog but I am new at it.)
Feedback on the day and afterwards was fantastic. Some small orders still coming in as word is stil spreading. - Mind it does help being a parent of kids in the school and known to a few of them.
My own experience is bottom lined at this: Don't print on the spot unless you have the setup exact. - WAY WAY too much to handle on a busy event.
But for exposure - fantastic. People see you do the craft - not bring it away to some mysterious photoshop.
If you could run a small video screen of the process - and have your craft to sell ....go for it.
