TBH I never looked at prestashop but have jsut had a quick glance at the demo site and it looks very similar to opencart in quite a few ways. Certainly looks more upto date from a users view than oscommerce or zencart.
Give both a go and see which you prefer, if I hadn't already spent a week finding my way around opencart I owuld probably give prestashop a go

Looking at the modules the prices seem very high when compared similar mods on opencart so you would have to bear that in mind also. Prestashop admin area certainly seems to have more in it than opencart. Things like importing csv is already there in prestashop where as you have to add it on opencart, although you can get it for free so its not too bad.
Suppose it jsut comes down to which you prefer.

I used to use prestashop and found it quite good but then swapped to Opencart and find this is a better open source software and has some great featues plus modules can be found quite cheap.
I have the upload feature on my website along with options for text etc.

ZenCart has an upload feature integrated into it but, as others have said, if you're not familiar with it, it can be quite a minefield to find everything.
I've been using it for a couple of years, and they've been promising to release a new version (ZenCart 2) for quite some time. It won't be all that easy to upgrade, from what I hear, so there's no real point in setting up your new shop in the current version.
I'm keeping an eye out for the alternatives. If it's going to take a big overhaul to upgrade to the new ZenCart when it's finally released, I may just as well look at what other ones there are.
Let us know how you get on, Paul.

they are just web designers acting as a reseller not really much use to the OP as the OP has got their own hosting now (probably cheaper then the link above is offering) and the opencart is free so no need to pay someone to put it together for you if your happy to have a crack.
OP who did you go with for you hosting??
