We've had our Graphtec CE5000 for years and it's been brilliant.

I am another fan of Graphtec - got the CE 5000-60 and love it, out the box and off you go. I think it depends on your budget, I have basically nothing and I was going to go with a P Cut but there was so much negative press about them, I begged and borrowed for the graphtec and I think for my needs (garment vinyl, core-ex signage, vehicle vinyl) it is more than a match and anything more would have been overkill. Plus there is 2 years warranty.
I went to MDP in Craigavon - Paul was great and went through everything and never tried to "oversell".

If you're using Coreldraw to create your designs, you'll need Graphtec's Cutting Master 2 installed on your PC.

Get it here: http://www.graphtecamerica.com/imaging_ ... W)v182.zip It's about 100mb download!

i was actually going to use adobe illustrator as im mainly mac at home, though i have bought a dell xps as a go-between from my office to the room with the cutter / a3 printers in as they dont like being networked.

Would it be better to use adobe illustrator on the macs, or should i use my windows 7 image on my mac thru corel?

just had a call from the electirician he is coming Friday woohoo

thanks Stitchup, i think its coming with the cd from graphtec anyway from what the ebay chap said on the phone, but ill download anyway just in case.
