hi martin thanks. for your help, to be honest i bought the printer from a guy i worked with he sold me it as he was moving back down south. i have tried getting in contact with him but to no succes .
i dont even know what ink is in it :redface:
would it be better if i just bought a new ciss system if i dont know what in is in it?
i have been looking at them but there going to cost nearly £300 from sawgrass.

The new CISS come with 500ml of sublimation ink, that's why they are so expensive. If you've got ink already you could just buy a new empty CISS from somewhere rather that a whole new system - or buy the cartridge and tube assembly if it will fit to your existing system.

Unfortunately the high price is due to the unique way the "approved" systems are sold. Although you have a four ink printer and should only need four lots of ink, the approved system comes with five lots of 100ml - which includes double the quantity of black.

They could have split the black into 2x50ml to accommodate both black ink chambers and, thus, not make you buy double the quantity, and this would probably have reduced the price of the system by about £50. But, as I say, approved systems are sold in a unique way which benefits only the manufacturer of the ink. (This is not the suppliers fault, but the manufacturers.)

i dont know what ink is in my ciss system.

Systems we supply will have Artainium ink as standard, or you can have Subli-JetIQ if you have a strong preference for something different. Artainium is the more popular.
