The instructions that come with ZAP say to remove the cartridge and attach a small syringe of ZAP to the printhead spike. You can't do that on my 4400 though as the cartridge is remotely mounted, and the printehead is fed by lines - so you can't actually get to the printhead. All I can do is soak some kitchen towel and move the printhead over the top and leave it there for a while.

Tried it for 10 mins, and now I have 7 blocked heads. I'll try overnight and go for all 8 I think!

Soaked it all night, left it swtiched on all day, it still has 7 out of 8 blocked nozzles. I'm tempted to fill the carts with methanol, run a powerclean and chuck a match on it...

Is it not possible to buy a new printhead for it? The 4400 is a bit of a big printer to junk.

That's true of Desktop printers, but we're talking about a 4400 here.

This site seems to sell them: http://www.thesuppliesshop.co.uk/catasp ... terID=6616 Costs a bit (£289+VAT), but in comparison to a new 4400 (or equivalent), it might be worth giving them a call.
