Very likely. The reason for most people being unable to get a good nozzle check pattern is because the printer hasn't been used for a while. Don't buy this unless you can see the printer print with a perfect nozzle check pattern and then be cautious.

as Martin said. but dont be fool by good nozzle patern like 99%. it MUST be 100% PERFECT otherwize you will see the banding on your mugs.

I would go for the richo for an easy life. If a mug ink costs 5p or 10p who cares! It is brilliant and no fuss, will print on DL sheets 1/3 A4 size. Ciss is clumsy and needs using every few days. Vote for an easy life and very fast printing! The powerdriver is v usefull too!

yep. if you want start "out of the box" then go for ricoh. if you want cheaper but for more experienced users go forepson and ciss. as logobear mentioned there is a powerdriver with ricoh witch is best benefit of having the ricoh printer (imo). It let you print from any graphic software. so there is another saving for you no need to buy photoshop/elements or corel.

Okay im getting totally confused now... I thought I had made my choice last night and its not getting any easier haha... I really like the GXe3300 due to the cartridge setup etc... but its the cost of the ink that is causing me concern :-/ the DF1 package from BMS is right in on budget aswell.... but I will have to buy another set of inks at £160 so in total it will be like... £700 putting me over my budget....

Printer is under £300 and DF1 under £200 why would you need to buy another set of inks straight away, the sub inks with the package will get you started and making money to buy a second set in a few weeks/months.

You get a full set of SubliJetR cartridges with the starter kit and if you use all this making and selling mugs then you should have made enough profit by then to easily afford a further set of cartridges.

Okay I am happy with that bms .... Ill be getting the DF1 with GXe3300 at the end of the month... and make a start... the inks can come when I cross that bridge

@bms - will the DF1 mug press do the latte mugs aswell as standered 11oz etc... and do full top to bottom wrap?

You'll need the DF14 if you want to do latte mugs. The DF1 will do full top to bottom.
