Just had a call from canon
it turns out the printer was contracted out to the MOD :~
scary hey lol
but they have contacted them and confirmed that it's been sold legitimately so everythings ok
phew

just gotta try and sort this 1 print head out that won't quite line up

at least thats sorted and ok now lol
