but i would not mind a pouch with some nice design tho...

Nice one. I just got an iPad yesterday (£289 from Apple UK) which is how I found the £4.95 case. The cheap case isn't quite as nice as the £31 Apple-branded one, but it does the same job.

I don't mind pouches for netbooks or laptops because those are devices you sit down, unpack, open, turn on, wait a bit, then do some work. But a tablet is "instant on". I want to flip it open, press the button, and do something. Anything that slows me down (like removing from a pouch) is a definite "no-no".

I used to have a very nice pouch for my Kindle, but I really didn't like taking the Kindle out of the pouch before I could do something. I wanted to flip open, turn on, and read with no messing about which is why I got a case at Christmas.

I just imagine that's the same for other people and that's why there are so many cases out there for these devices. On the other hand, pouches are easy (and cheap) to make - just two piece of fabric with a bit of stitching - so it's more profitable for suppliers of blanks and that's probably why pouches are available while cases aren't.

They are called "Steel Dry Erase Boards". Presumably they are steel - hopefully they are coated well otherwise they could be prone to rusting!

I'm very surprised that none of the companies who produce such things as shoulder bags, wallets etc haven't produced such an item to print on to. they would be the ideal people to produce such an item quite easily as they would have the machinery to do such items quickly & at a decent affordable price too.

It maybe a case of the producers waiting to hear from suppliers but, lots of missed sales by all in the end.
