Anybody used Raja?

There are apparently 2 people working in the UK warehouse who answer emails (Joanne/Beth) according to the European office. Note "apparently".

Good day  and thank you for your previous response.
It appears Joanne and Beth really don't like answering emails. I sent a simple question on Friday and have not received a response. It appears I am not alone with this.

Here is part of the conversation with the admin on a printing forum while discussing my frustration.

"Haha well done for persisting, strange when you have to do this to give companies business isn't it!?

I did email them a while back to see about getting deals for the forum members, buying in bulk etc. but again never heard anything."

So while my memory from many years back was that Raja sublimation mugs were good quality, I guess my business is not required.

This makes sense if you are only looking to supply large wholesale / retailers.

This isn't actually a moan or a complaint, just an awareness for yourselves if you are the parent office.

That was my best attempt at not sounding aggressive. While I will probably not bother with Raja now, I thought feed back would be helpful if the European office is their parent company. Also I guess the UK office will never want to deal with me!

Ohh well xpres 5013, although a smidge more expensive, appears to be the answer for the time being.

If you wrote this as a script nobody would believe it.

The message to the European office gets a next day response including saying they can supply direct. The UK office gets back to me to say the difference between the 10oz and 11oz is the size and the handle shape, with two photos both of the 10oz mug. Now the 10oz and 11oz mug are both listed on their site as having the same dimensions. So actually not much help at all.

I have managed to get my hands on a case of 10oz Wycombe Raja mugs. They look identical to the xpres 5013, they weigh the same, and have the same ripples on the bottom. When I eventually print on them I'll compare. Although I have lost the will to do anything with Raja.

I have just had another email (as I type this) from Mou at Raja UK. Apologising for the previous email and sending the amended dimensions (their website was wrong) and confirming that indeed the 11oz mug is a bit bigger. Apparently they will be correcting their website.

And that dear friends is the comedy of Raja.

Well this morning I decided to put my "big boy pants on" and overcome my aversion to Raja after all the faffing.

Ohhhh..... They print very well.
160 degrees in the oven for 20 minutes.
Epson ET-1810
Inktec Sublinova
Ink experts 120gsm paper.

Now if only they weren't such a useless company to deal with.

I do a bit of both (ish). Small local businesses and clubs plus one off personalised. I don't do bulk as in by the pallet. It's essentially by the tray (12 mugs), 24 and 36 (box) for the local market.

I am very much "Keep It Simple Stupid!" sort of person.
