WOW - DPD just turned up with three mug boxes from Xpres (108 mugs) and 35 are smashed!!! Literally a box tumbled out of the couriers van as he opened it and good thing I was standing there as caught it. You could hear all the boxes had smashes in by picking them up but he said "not me guv". Apparently Xpres customers have complained so many times about DPD but heard it on good authority that the "powers that be" at Charter House don't care and won't change. Grrr

Xpres are "usually" very good and indeed after quick photo evidence will credit me back as always they said. Should of ordered more I must admit just in case.

So you don’t order many at a time then olly?

i usually order 4/5 boxes and that lasts me a week or two depending on trade.
I’m pretty fed up with it to be honest been doing this a while now and I have just lost the love for it.

It was a one off order of those inner red mugs which isn't something we do often so don't bother holding stock. Still buying hundreds of their 5013 mugs for our sins but reality is, that for us, nothing matches them for coating and quality. Have just dumped their tex-print paper for a-sub which gives so much finer detail it's amazing. And half the price!

Im buying inkexperts style lite paper for mugs how does a-sub compare to that olly?
I agree xpres mugs are far superior in image quality but the whole dishwashing and chipping issue is just a killer.

I have orca mugs here I pressed years ago and they go through the dishwasher every other day and they are perfect. And then I have had the 5013 mugs which went through once and parts of the image started chipping away.

I’m quite happy to sacrifice HD image for durability.

I'll let you know about comparison with ink experts paper tomorrow as this has been our back up paper as well for past year when design has included fine black lines or writing which texprint paper just can handle anymore oddly. A-sub detail compared to texprint wins hands down and only £3.30+ vat for 100 mug cut sheets if bought in bulk.

Hi Olly, how did that comparison with inkexperts go.

Also, where do you get your A-sub mug paper from. Do you have a product code you or link you could send us please

Cheers
