I tend to send everything up to 2Kg by Royal Mail, and anything over 2Kg by DHL.

Just tape it. If there's two, three or four, then I just tape them all together. I have sent the 6-way polystyrene boxes with 6 mugs with just tape around it before.

I thought about using the poly mugs
but for me its storage as they are obviously NOT flat
at the minute i'm now going to send my 1st lot of 4 mugs in the post

anyway what i have done is wrapped the mugs in bubble wrap and then put them in mug cardboard boxes.

i'll find out by tomorrow if it works ok lol, i hope it does, if not i'll be getting some smashproof ones very soon

I have to send my first mugs out (!) and wasn't sure about sending them in just the BMS polybox with fragile tape around it? Is this acceptable for customers generally? I was also going to wrap in brown paper?

DO NOT Put fragile tape on them.

They'll get kicked round every sorting office they land in, posties take it as a challenge, sadly

And don't bother with brown paper either, just stick your postage label to the box

I always put fragile tape around them. Never had anything broken. Posties know what a mug box is anyway. If they want to kick it about, they won't reserve their excesses for ones with "fragile" around them.

I just tape the poly boxes together. If you want to impress someone, you could put the poly box inside these: http://www.listawoodtradesupplies.com/i ... ?id=MP0004 - but at 40p a pop, you don't want to be doing it for every mug.

I use fragile tape too! only ever had one mug broke - had plenty go missing over the xmas period though

Looks good - wish I could just order a dozen initially though!

We also wrap in brown paper. Yes it takes a minute longer and a few pence more but it is an extra layer and looks nice. Fingers crossed we have never had one break in 4 years.

Of course its whatever people prefer.
