If you'd like to try something different maybe just add a print to the mug handle.

You can also use thermo-shrink bags instead of the silicon wraps so you can print the mug and handle all in one go. I believe Simon (Socialgiraffe) has had success with that method.

Is hard to find in the UK a supplier to get a mugs which allows you to print inside or inner. The mugs needs to have a polymer coat inside from factory in order to do that. Yes, you can buy a polymer a give a coat inside the mugs an then print the mug as normal. But I prefer don't do it in that way because it might not be safe if you planning sell them. The only company where you can get this mug is a Chinese Bestsub I think it is. They have distributors here in the UK but none of then got this mug available here yet.
