I'll speak with them as soon as I can.
TBH I wouldn't bother, I doubt it will get you anywhere.

However, I know you struggle with doing a column every month so what about farming it out to 12 "experts" on the DSF. Fairly confident you would get 12 offers of vain people who want to see their name in lights :wink::wink::wink::wink::wink:

It would be pretty easy to give each of them a deadline and have one or two articles as a back up in case they let you down (to which they must be named and shamed :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:) Pretty easy to administrate and ask each author to submit the article details so you don't get repetitive content.

I'll have a chat with them, we need to be getting better advertising out of this to make it worth while.

Yes, we could farm out. We did look at this before and getting 12 articles ready for print rather than pushing for a deadline each month.

Will come back when I've spoken to them. In the meantime, any 'experts' that might be interested in a slot let me know.

I would, but as you know, I like to keep my opinions to myself :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Oh sorry Simon, I thought you said "Experts" not "Old Farts". I'll see if P&P are interested in an OAP section ;-)

Gotta say I owed you that one!

Typo? Did you mean "Old Tarts"? He's far to busy to join in with this kind if banter.....I hear it's getting even rougher around those parts as he has to keep leaning against the door.

...back to the serious stuff.

P&P want 4 more articles as other folk are submitting, Sawgrass for example. They aren't willing to show logo/website on these articles as they're not intended for publicity. I'm quite happy for the forum to 'donate' help and information but we need something in return for our time and effort. I'll discuss further. They have indicated they 'might' include a website.

What about if "we" supply images and those images have the DSF logo on it.

For example, if I wrote an article on what you can do with mugs (for example), then if I used the DSF logo could that work?

Likewise, if Webtrekker showcased the clock that he developed, it would be a DSF clock...

I can't see that being a problem but can't see them going for it as we'd be getting free publicity. Bit of a one way street I'm afraid. Webtrekker would also be a great contributor ;-)

If the forum doesn't get publicity, then what is the point?
Am sure if Sawgrass are doing an article it will say it's from Sawgrass... so why shouldn't a DSF one say it's from dyesubforum.co.uk
