The oven needs a 4 inch clearance from the wall for safety
Never bothered with that and never had any problems, although that is obviously not a legal stand point

I've bought a welding blanket to block all the heat. Plastic meltdown and computer network catastrophic disaster now prevented.

First results patchy. Perhaps the wraps aren't the tightest and my batch of 5013 mugs are also a little rippled.
190 degrees on oven, showing 185 on Salter oven thermometer. 6 mugs 11 mins, might need to shave 30 seconds off that for a sharper print. I was hoping to work with a lower temperature for more leeway on times. Will need to waste more mugs...

I would recommend you only do 1 mug at first, just so you can eliminate temperature, wraps and mugs. Once you have one printing exactly as you expect, then all you need to play around with is the number of mugs versus the time.
I have never measured the actual temperature of my oven so could not help on what the actual temp is. However you could probably turn the temp down and increase the time and achieve the same results.
The wrap does need to be tight otherwise you will get faded spots.

Yes, started off with 1 mug and arrived at 9 minutes.

It takes me 9 minutes for one mug too Gary in my halogen oven, and around 12 minutes for two. I don't cook more than two at a time though to ensure proper air circulation, but obviously the Blizzard oven should be capable of doing more.

Is that with the extending ring or without. as I do one mug for 15mins @ 200c in my halogen.

That's with the extension ring Rob. I use the ring, even with only one mug, to give a more even airflow. I put the mug in when my oven thermometer reads 180 and then it usually goes up to around 200 while cooking.

I really need to get a oven thermometer. I can only set mine to what the dial states.
