I appreciate your help. However, they are chinchilla efect finished one's which leave any printed image looking washed out and faded which isn't the look im after.

Hello. Not sure what you mean by faded? We print over 500 a month of chinchilla chopping boards for artists whose print doesn't look faded but very vibrant. Yes, there is a ripple effect on the glass so text looks odd but we only sell chinchilla nowadays as no one liked the clear glass as not practical in the kitchen.

Thats really comforting information, as clearly I have yet to print on a choppng board. I took my lead from this video:
Look at the image at the start and hear the presenter say at 4.22 *Obviousy on the Chinchilla glas you get a faded efect on the image".
I would love to see a picture of one of your printed cutting boards, if thats ok.
