Epson 4880 and Inktec ink

I dont have the printer yet. Currently I ise inktec in my epson 1500w. Anyways Inktec does provide the ICC profile for the 7880.

Thanks Malkram ...I saw Alex ws telling you Inktec 8 colours are not that good due to LLK ...I love the colours of 1500W and I dont want to change to 4 colour but need to find out where to get good 8 colour subink work well ...

Yes but it was with a profile he made. He didnt try the profile provided by Inktec

I did, got similar results with the Inktec profile. May have been me but I just couldn't get things right unfortunately.

Oh I thought you didn't, so you used the 7880 profile ? And do you have experience with Inktec and P800 ? Thanks.

We use InkTec with 7 colours (just the LK, not LLK) and get good results, although planning a move to an 8 colour 11880 to get full fabric width printing.
We do our own ICC profiling in-house.

With which printer ? So you use a RIP in order to use only 7 colors or you filled LLK cartridges with LK ?

We're using Stylus Pro 9600 models - so only 7 colour models, the 11880 is an 8 colour we're planning to move to

Alright and you use same ink for PK and MK cartridges ?

No, we use K in the first channel, and LK in the second black channel - the 9600 can be set up to have different black configurations.

We don't use a RIP, just printing from Photoshop to the Epson print driver (the Vista64 one still works with Win 10 64 if you turn off device driver signing) using our own ICC profiles.
