Just working out the sums but yes hopefully £10.00 off the printer packages. Just need to clear it with the MD. 10% DSF code will apply to all sublimation inks (Inktec and Subli-Sharp 100ml), and sublimation paper.

Hi James, I did consider this after reading some other posts and thought it might be a better and cheaper alternative but I'm not sure what sort of set up I would need if using an oven (apart from obviously the halogen oven!) Any guidance would be appreciated.

Halogen oven, and some silicone mug wraps (less than a fiver each from ebay), plus your printer, ink and paper. That's all you need.

Oh lovely thank you. I've seen that some people on the forum would choose the oven method over the mug press so I will definately look into it. ��

I moved away from the normal mug presses to the halogen ovens a while back and it was the best move I ever made.

I agree ovens are certainly the way to go for larger production. I do feel however that having a single head press certainly to start with is fine, especially when you are completing single orders.

Sorry Justin must disagree with you there. I actually do not do that many mugs these days, and still feel that the halogen oven is the way to go. You can do 1, 2, 3 or 4 in mine and not only does it save electricity but it gives far better results than the mug press does and I get a much better alround finish.

Each to their own . So how long to warm up and then print 1 mug start to finish?

1 mug about 15 mins, but it does mean I can print and pack other orders at the same time, because I am not tied to the mug press. Also if I do 4 which is 20 mins, I also get more done. When I was using the mug press I had to keep on stopping every 3 mins to attend the mug press to take out the done mug and to put the new one in, it really slowed me down. The halogen came into it's own over the Christmas period, when my production rate went up and I fulfilled all order ahead of time!!
