I can see some benefit in it and in terms of profitability I think webtrekker and Tubstar hit the nail on the head on how it will make its money.

Out of interest how much would 1 roll of 15mm tape cost?

I have an idea that might work depending on the cost....

1 Roll, either Clear, white, yellow, blue, pink or red with either red, blue, black or white print would work out £10. That's 66 meters, I am not vat registered I am afraid.

Is that cost to you or how much you are charging?

The reason I ask is because I am interested in purchasing a machine to create my own tape, but was just wondering how much it would cost me to produce 1 roll of 15mm. Sorry if I didn't make that clear mate.

I have just purchased one of these, so far only played with ribbon but very impressed with both speed & quality. Again, mainly for added value to own items and not yet worked out prices for tape.

Cool, we just got some 15mm white ribbon today. With both black and gold inks to try. Out of interest where are you planning on getting your supplies from for it?

The best I've found are Integrity Supplies in Birmingham, need to give them a call for trade prices.

we got offered one of these FOC - the results are amaising and it is very easy to use, but consumable price is shocking ... and you need a lot of different colours and widths of each to offer a choice, and the cores - 18pence for a F***in little cardboad tube that you get free inside each till role that costs less - including the 500m of till roll. ours is just gathering dust!

I used to own ribbon printing as a business, a lot of the little "mum" businesses will print with next to nothing profit. I eventually had to give it up because people were just willing to get the order for the sake of it.

Your printer looks like a fab piece of kit - to enhance your own packaging with a bit of printing on the side has to be a win win though. I have packaging ocd LOL id love my name on tape haha
