My Dad is 92 Billy and is on his computer and iPad every day of the week. Just plod on, one step at a time, and you'll get there in the end. Remember: the harder it is to learn something, the more pleasure you get from it once you've done it. I'm sure you'll get a lot of pleasure from sublimating stuff, they make great keepsakes.
