I have a blocked refil. cartridge that just isn't printing anything at all
Is it the cartridge that isn't printing (caused by poor ink flow) or the printhead that is blocked? The only way of ruling one of these out is to try a standard cartridge in that part of the printer and see if it prints - if it does then the problem is with the other cartridge - if it doesn't then the problem lies in the print head.

Tried original carts but can't get anything to print, very very slightly now and then but this soon dissapears.
One thing about Printer Jockey, once you've registered it's locked to one PC, I installed on my laptop and can't have it on my PC as well.....emailing to see if that can be sorted.

Main feature is the channel flushing which as far as I can see is just the same as printing a block of the colour, CMYK etc. It makes it easier to do this as you can select how much ink/resolution to flush at. You choose which channel(s) you want to flush.
Not much else of use really, that's really the main feature. It hasn't solved my problem, I have a blocked refil. cartridge that just isn't printing anything at all. Hadn't really expected a miracle from this software but thought it worth a try whilst it's reduced, it could well be handy in the future.
Thanks for trying it out and reporting back. Sounds like it's not really worth the money.
A head clean is generally done at a more powerful rate than regular printing. Deciding how much ink to print on a page isn't what I'd call "flushing".
In fact those in the know generally say that you must print something between multiple headcleans because too many headcleans in a row can destroy the printhead. If printing was the same as headcleaning, they'd hardly recommend printing in between headcleaning to preserve the printhead.

Sounds to me like an air block rather than a clog.
I'd recommend leaving the OEM carts in. Do no more than three headcleans. Then leave overnight.
Tomorrow, do the same thing. After the three headcleans, leave several hours before returning to it. Repeat as needed. Printers need coaxing, not bullying.
Always do nozzle checks, so you can keep track of how the nozzles are doing.
I've had my 1290S come back to life via coaxing more than once. But I've also had printers that I've let run dry and left for too long that never came back to life on that colour.
Recently I swapped my refills in my B40W (brand new printer) and couldn't get anything out. I swapped back in the OEMs and did the coaxing thing, and now it's working like a good 'un again.

I use Printer Jockey regularly to get the white ink moving. Does the job for me.

Got some more carts on the way to try and sort this 1400, I don't think it's going to make it tbh

but I'll keep trying.
Printer Jockey hasn't helped much with this particular problem but I'm glad I bought it. The auto print feature will be useful and it has a few other features that should be good.

Well, after a few days perservering I've managed to get the nozzle print to the level shown in the pic below

It was just the magenta causing me the problems but I'm nearly there. Don't want to count my chickens too early but so far so good!

If I was you, I wouldn't do any more head cleans (presuming you have a good yellow). This is a 6-ink printer and the likelihood of that single nozzle causing you a problem is pretty remote. I think you'll get away with it on most designs and especially photos.
On my older 1400, I've often printed with either a magenta or cyan nozzle missing and you can't tell.
Turning off "high speed printing" and printing at "Best Photo" will minimise the issue of that single nozzle. By the time you've printed a dozen or so sheets, you'll probably find that nozzle clears on its own.
If you do any more head cleans, it'll most likely get a very lot worse.

Cheers for the that

I was kind of thinking to leave it alone now. I've gone easy this last couple of days, 2 or 3 cleans and leave overnight, couple of channel flushes today seemed to help.
Will follow your advice and do a couple of prints for comparison. FIngers crossed the problem won't re-occur.
