I have used 3 different types of poly cancas and all have given excellent results. I used really cheap practice canvas to the more expensive poly. I tried to make my own profile but that came out insane
The guy who I bought it off told me to use the printers profile for instant dry satin photo paper and it works. It just works! They do come out a little dark but I adjust it in photoshop.
I have some pre made profiles I can send you if you want them.

I used it mainly for canvas, but have used it for printable wallpaper, glossy posters & metallic paper (which gives amazing results) Give the encoder strip a clean now & again which is important but apart from that very little maintanance.

Interesting about the profiles, seems strange the built in system didn't work? That's a big reason for me going for it!

Other medias sound very interesting :-)

How do you find the print speed?

I can print an 18"x32" with my 2100 faster than a 16x24 with my little 500 plus workhorse.
About 7 mins for the 18x32 roughy

I can't see why the person who sold it told you to said use instant dry satin paper profile if you are printing on canvas,if that's what you mean?

Yes that's right. I used the canvas profile that came with the printer and it did not look right. I made my own that came out terrible. After hours of wasted time, ink and canvas, I contacted him , he told me to use the I d satin profile. It really does print well. As I said they do come out a little dark but the ps workaround fixes that so the colours are very close to what is on my screen. If you have any advice on using the proper profile, please let me know. I'm fairly new to wide format printing so much to learn!

There are two profiles on it for canvas, one for Hp canvas & another one for canvas, use the latter one & don't print through photoshop, the blacks are always to dark for me on photoshop but all colours are spot on with other programmes, or if you haven't got another programme make sure printer manages colour is selected in the settings also use sRGB.I wouldn't print on canvas with a paper profile though,it will be lighter as the printer thinks it's printing on paper,i would also watch out for the auto cutter, as in paper setiings that is enabled & it is not designed to cut through canvas so you should disable that in your settings otherwise it'll start getting blunt & will jam.

Coolio,
Thanks for that, Ill be giving that a go soon as my lg ink turns up. No need to worry about the cutter though, my mind, unlike the cutter is not so sharp so i took it out!
I think i may have only tried one canvas profile tbh. Do you have any luck with making your own custom profiles? As I said earlier mine turned out like a clowns face paint.
Would love to be able to make my own at some point
