You're also communicating that you 'just' print mugs, not design them, make them, love them, etc
Ok so more along the lines of "Blah Design" or "Blah Design and Print"?

Not wishing to be disrespectful but if you are getting into the mug design business it might be worth using sites like Pinterest Instagram deviant art etc for inspiration , or sites like fivrr who will design a logo for you.

If you made the "the" bigger and with the "g" where it is then you nearly have the shape of the mug. The G being the handle. You can work on that but try and make it look upto date with the font.
I am personally not as concerned as some of the others on some of the details but we all have different opinions. Many companies have different brands under one umbrella company. You can bring them all together under the main company or keep them stand alone. Whilst some might see it as putting yourself in a pigeon hole others might see it as specialising........ not a Jack of all trades.
We have done it all ways in past and I really don't think it is the biggest thing to get hung up on. Marketing strategies, building reputation, ability to search out new niches etc. there are so many things that will determine how successful a company becomes. It is nice to have a good brand but this can also develop as you get further down the line and have a budget to spend on it.

It's tidy, it has impact, it has a modern feel, and I see nothing wrong with it, you can easily spend too much of your valuable time on a good logo, and like others have said you can always incorporate different divisions of your business as you add different products to your range, overall I like it.

Agreed, branding is something I tend to overthink when I start something new, just seems to be my process. Time for the real work of getting customers.
