oh I feel misled now as the person I spoke to on the stand said they were made in their press which nearly made me buy one! I've ordered some mugs from them to try as I'm having problems with the ones from BMS. Does anyone make perfectly straight mugs without dips in?

No mug is perfectly straight, Xpres and BMS are among the best. Remember if you were a premium member you'd get 10% off with Listawood. Are your BMS mugs 10oz European? if you're having trouble with those I'd think your problems lie elsewhere.

Yes they are the European ones from BMS. The polymer ones from them come out perfect. Out of desperation i have tried a new blanket and still have this spot in the top middle that doesn't work right but the rest is fine. Too much pressure and this spot is even worse and the paper creases there but rest of the mug is perfect and not enough pressure and parts are faded. I can't seem to find the perfect in between so can only assume that the mugs have dips? I had a problem with the paper creasing around the bottom due to it being uneven so have moved my designs up and made them smaller and this is now fixed but still have this other problem.

I think the issue is with your press not the mugs. Certainly worth trying another supplier but the European mugs are usually very good. For them all to print this way would point elsewhere me thinks.

Just to do an update: I have received the Adkins Multi Mug Press + SG400 printer and have done around 20 mugs to experiment with the settings. Most of the mugs have come out well, or at least acceptably.

The one thing I am struggling with is the pressure advised by Adkins is VERY LIGHT. However, 'pressure' is subjective and I don't know what is meant by light/medium/high or how to tell what pressure I am setting.
Tried setting the press where it is just touching the mug, then screwed out the pressure adjustment by n turns, as follows:
LIGHT: 2 turns out. The mug is held but can be rotated in the press by pushing on the handle. Print faded, so too light
MEDIUM: 4 turns out. The mug is held tightly, and cannot be rotated. Prints well
FIRM: 5 turns out. The mug is held tightly, and cannot be rotated. Prints well AND the press handle can hold the element against the mug without the timer starting. Similar to Justin's post.

Also tried the times between 130 and 200 seconds, all at 180 degrees. Below 180 seconds has fading, so 180 and 200 both works well including right to the base.

So far very pleased with the results. Just ordered so extra thin mugs to try out.

Going to be selling my TMT / Oki leftover bits, about £400 worth of kit.

Are there any forums like DSF for the toner printing?
