What kind of cutting are you using?
We've tried a few, and had different results with them - some working well on white aluminium, and another only working on clear finish.
Also, what is the edging like - is it jagged or burred in anyway - does it need additional filing/sanding/polishing after your cutting?
Can you post a high res/macro image of the edge to show the cut/finish quality please.
What will your price break quantities be?

I've had some samples back from Sublimetals. Edges were fine. Quite an intricate shape, as it's only 6.5 cm tall. Very pleased.

Yes Paul, we are charging for quotes at present as its a 30-45 minute setting process to create the machine codes to test how many items we can get to a sheet and how long the machine will take to run the job (which dictates the price ..) and a further 15 mins per sample if they are required... and so far it hasn't stopped cutting different jobs for nearly 2 weeks, day and night, so it's quite a process even getting on it to run any samples!
When demand for the service slows a little (and obviously after we return from Summer shutdown next week, then we'll be on catch up the week after, so not before September now!) we may offer discounts or even Free quote days and we will advertise these to our customer list and on here where possible. In the meantime we will continue to post up jobs as they are done so you can get an idea of prices from other jobs, but it is not possible to even guesstimate prices at present because the outline of the shape, added holes, slots etc. not just the size change dramatically how long they take to cut and how many fit on a sheet (and of course metal thickness changes everything as well...)
If you have an idea that we may be happy to produce as a stock item (i.e. you don't want it as an exclusive) it is worth emailing us direct as we may bend the rules then (again as soon as we have time!)... :-)

Hi Pisquee, As we have spoken about custom cuts before (when we couldn't help you out) we are happy for you to send as a test file to cut and test for the Forum if you like, as a one off, free of charge? as long as you don't mind us posting a photo of a printed one on our site and on here once we have returned some samples to you? Think Gordon has answered the edge questions for me lol! Price break quantities are set at 50+, 100+, 250+, 500+ and 1000+ . Only proviso on the above is the turnaround time (as per my previous post, will have to be after our summer break aug 22-30th and have to wait for a lull in the production after that! ) PM or email me to discuss further Nicci :-)

Thank you Nicci!
This is fair enough.
I will contact you with a sample and see what can be done.

Hi Nicci, I tried to order a sample using your discount code, but it wouldn't work for some reason.

Circles – Double sided thick metal 1.1mm 38mm XL. One hole at top.

Are these milled with your new machine? Could you post a single sample with a second class stamp?

If drawing out layouts for cutting (for Chromaluxe) what sheet stock sizes can you work from? Will you be expanding your size ranges or sticking to your maximum currently on your website?
We currently use the 60x40cm (approx) gloss clear sheets
How close can your machine cut neighbouring pieces reliably, and have you had success with common cut lines? and how close to the edge of the sheet can we go?

Is it possible to order a sample custom cut piece (of any shape not ours) economically to judge the cut quality etc - i.e. just cut an extra of some other job you're doing and put it in an envelope and send letter post?

If happy with the quality, we can then look at sending you cutting files to price up and compare to our current suppliers.
