Swarovski Rhinestone have 14 Facet cut for most of the size from SS10 up the SS6 and SS4, have a 12 facet Cut.
Preciosa Rhinestones have a wonderful sparkle and 12 faceted Cut, their Chanton rose are lovely and are cheaper than the Swarovski,
When Rhinestones first came popular here my mate was looking at becoming a wholesaler here and they were closely researched the above info was right a few years back.
I have seen some really good acrylic stones from Korea, the Chinese Acrylic then were not as good, The Chinese hot fix as long as they are glass and a DMC cut normally have a really good sparkle.
The stones I purchased from the link on Ali express I had ss6 and ss10 both had a very good sparkle, the seller lists as 10/12 facets I assume the smaller stones have the 10.
I also find the glass stones stay on the garment longer.
The glass stones are also " moulded" these do not have such sharp edges as the machine cut and wont have the same sparkle quality as the DMC stones.
