Sawgrass ditched Epson?

I'd be more annoyed if I'd just bought a Ricoh set-up only to be told this new re-badged model will be superior along with inks that offer a wider gamut.
I agree, but then you have to determine what is fact versus smoke and mirrors. Sawgrass will tell you its better, how much better is always debatable.

In general I think Sawgrass will probably stop supporting Epson because they will not want to push inks into a printer that they do not have any financial interest in. Especially as the small format Epsons are more prone to mechanical error with dye sub ink. Will they continue making carts for Epsons... for a while but they will eventually stop. Its a bit like my Ricoh A3 7000. I have decided to shelve the printer as it is getting harder and harder to get carts for it, they are always a special order and take up to five days to arrive. Eventually Sawgrass will stop selling 7000 carts as no one uses them.
