Having a go with V5, sounds like it's the latest stable version

So I'm just setting up some test items, is there a customer image upload facility on this? I found a mod for around $35 but wondered if mods can be sourced as easily as with OC? Also looking at the templates as i see there 'appears' to be no way to put categories across the top just down the side?
