Re: What software can I use?

Hi all,

Mug printing is something I am looking into doing, the only thing that's baffling me is the software? What programme can I use to resize templates and pictures just to print straight off and away I go. I've downloaded a programme called Gimp but its just over complicated. I've used that free template on here which is very good but cannot save the design.

Can someone point me in the right direction please. Thanks

Hi Shaz, I believe you can download Photoshop cs2 for Free. You will find this most useful.

Thanks for your reply :) I tried downloading CS2 but it asked for a serial number and an organization name to complete the setup?

here you find download and serial number. no need to register with company name etc... you can skip that bit.

You could also try GIMP, this is free as well!

GIMP isn't as good, Photoshop is an industry standard, and although CS2 is an old version, it's still good to be learning the main software that most graphics pros use.

Sorry Pisquee must disagree with you there. It is on par with Photoshop, if not better, and much better that the CS2 version, and as I said FREE.

CS2 is free. Is Gimp properly colour managed yet?

GIMP is also FREE, and as far as I know it works as well if not better than CS2. Not sure what you mean by 'Properly colour managed yet' though?

last I heard GIMP wasn't fully colour managed in how it handled ICC profiles, although it was planned for the future.
