looking for sublimation towels, ones which are fully printable poly on one side but more standard cotton/natural fibre on the other side.

It is a bit sideways on topic, but I have been printing on 'microfibre' towels.

Mostly hand towels used for sports and sailing because they are very absorbent, dry quickly and quite a good sized one is light to carry.

Because microfibre products tend to be polyester they are nice to sublimate onto. I buy white ones but there are pastels available in various places. Size is about 650mm x 475mm. Price is cheap. Over here, less than a dollar each.

Not what you are looking for but might be useful some time as an extra idea.

It was at a trade show we were exhibiting at in London, where i saw the towels printed as part of another product, but the seller was just buying the product. we loved that it was proper cotton on one side.

I am also interested in the cotton on one side, because although the microfibre is great for sports activities where lightness, quick drying and space saving is desirable, there's something about the 'feel' of cotton that is completely different from the clingy feeling of a microfibre towel.

So while I use microfibre towels exclusively for activities on my yachts (bushwalking in our tropical climate for example) I would like to have towels / hand towels that were cotton on one side and poly on the other.

I'll watch this thread in case you find them. :-)

pisquee, is this something like the material you are chasing?
http://www.amazon.com/Large-Patent-Pending-Oyster-Collection/dp/B00J10K5SW

I can find variations on it, with Cotton Terry Cloth on one side and Polyester/Spandex on the other side but haven't found any white advertised. Did see a link to a Chinese supplier but it all seemed to be dyed.

Here's their Facebook page.
