Hi everyone.
I've created a simple tool to help me to calculate exact print sizes for mugs.
You can adjust various settings and then download a template you can use as a background layer in your graphics software. It allows for the accurate placement of images etc at perceived centres of the mug (e.g. when the mug is facing you with the handle pointing left or right) taking into account the unprintable handle area and any the top/bottom unprintable areas. The centres on the template are, therefore, relative to the mug not to the design itself.
I created it for my own purposes really - but happy for others to use it.

Nice idea shame that the png that it generates does not print to scale.

Re: Simple Template for Mugs
Hi there. Thanks for the feedback. The template isn't really for printing. It's just for giving you a visual guide in your graphics software.
If you want to print it, then you need to do this from graphics software that lets you set the DPI setting for the print job. You need to ensure the DPI setting in your graphic software matches the DPI you specified in the template. Works fine for me in GIMP.
