Re: EPOS for custom t-shirt shop?

I am liking the idea of a tablet based epos, but they all seem to deal with fixed product, not custom ones.
I had thought a resteraunt epos might adapt, charge for different ingrediants, but they probably don't account for sliding prices depending on how many garments are ordered.
We would love to do contact management too (CLS)
Might these 2 things be integrated so we can track emails, sales, and artwork files for clients with invoicing and contact management.
Any experiences?
Thanks
Phil

Saw this thread and was hoping that there would be some feedback so it's a shame that there hasn't been as it's something I would be very interested in. I have looked myself and have come across the same stumbling blocks that you have mentioned (custom variables, sliding price scales etc). Hopefully someone has come across a solution..

Hi. The solution is often a custom built solution. Our sister company "OnlineRetailing.co.uk" often deals with large scale ecommerce + epos solutions like this but you are looking at quite a large budget requirement. Finger in air would be post £10k. You may find a lone "bedroom" developer for a lot less. Olly

We have a tablet kiosk solution http://www.gateway3d.com/sell/gateway-s ... k-options/

It is not true expos but calculates prices based on variables , manages artwork and does sales reports

Could probably add extra functionality if needed - happy to demo as we already have live in shops

Re gateway, your system looks great but is it only geered to high volume?
It is not an EPOS in any way whatsoever .....

Have you looked at AirPOs? http://www.airpointofsale.com/

comes with 30 day free trial.

I had a free copy back in the beta-testing days, liked what I saw but didn't have the volume to justify a paid subscription.

Not looked at AirPos (though see that they do get good reviews and are based in Ireland)
As £17.50 plus vat per month per device .....
but have looked at Posandro and others, and they don't naturally do volume discounts, we have single item price, less for 2-5, then 6-9, 10-19 etc
If you just create multiple products it doesn't give you a daily tshirt total - instead totals for each of the scale catagories!
Posandro is £15 pcm for 1 device, and £28pcm for 2-10 devices ..... so a lot cheaper!
Izettle looks weak, VendHWQ too big,
also looking at Alfapoint,

Anyone any actual experience?
