your right about the warranty thing....
think i will stick to my PC WORLD what ever happens warranty printers lol
back to printers....
anyone ever use the epson workforce series printers for sub printing at all ?
I run a 1500W with refill carts along with other printer setups and the 1500W kicks the RICOH's butts well into touch for print quality on sublimation products! I've had returning customers say to me what has changed because the items are now looking 10X better with more vibrant colours and sharper image details which were not there before!
and for this reason I will be ditching my RICOH's once I have used up the ink in them and may even sell the full set of carts I only bought 1 month a go which cost more then the price of the 1500W I bought 2 months a go.
Uhm, I can't say I've ever had a customer notice any difference. I do feel the 1500 has the edge on quality but it really shouldn't be that different. I've never known anyone dump the Ricoh to go back to an Espon with CIS, think I'd be checking my settings and speaking to Sawgrass about that one
I don't use a CISS, and the ink I refill them with is licenced by Sawgrass.
The RICOH's have limatations regarding the DPI and using the 4 colours to make up the print which Epsons have by far higher DPI and better colour control using 6 or more colours.
So you're re-filling cart's? eek, what a pain! lol. Both the Ricoh and the Epson print at DPI way above anything sublimation needs to reproduce. The 6 colour does give the edge with skin tones and gradients etc. but unless they're viewed side by side no customer should be noticing such a huge difference.
Re-filling carts is nowhere near the pain it is with a CISS system which can't be moved and all the hassle with air locks! as for the side by sdie that is what they have noticed because of coming back to buy more for their family & friends as they have the original sold to them made from the RICOH

no pain here - using the xtra large 80ml carts that stick out from the brothers....fill em up and they are good for at least 4/5 months - pending how busy one is

quality colour wise ?
head clogging ? - usual for epson's
in my opinion the quality is good as long as you`ve got it profiled, and as blockages none so far. i think these Work Force Printers are better built to suit office environment rather than your cheap desktop domestic home printers
