new to 3d sublimation. problem with perfecting the corners for 3d iPhone covers

Think you'll find those companies are connected so reports may be biased!

I plan to buy a new 3d mini vacuum machine from Sun fly sublimation (model SFS-VS03S). If you are using the same machine, i would like to know about the performance of the machine. Any kind of trouble if it is giving or anything you can tell about the vendor or the machine.

I have it and the print comes out great, but the cases are sadly not fitting 100%. Does anyone know how to fix it, or what settings to put the machine at? I put it at 170s at 170 C (that is what I was instructed to do) but the cases come out to small. How is it going with your machine? Are they fitting correctly?

Hi Uri, you might want to try to lower your time. As the case goes through heat, it will shrink. The longer it is in the press, the more it will shrink. I would lower the time to the point where the print still comes out nice but not more...It's like roasting a chicken =P

I have actually tried that and I think I got it. I preheat the jigs for 20 minutes, and then make the temperature 165 C for about 150s. This seems to have done it for me. Thanks for the response.

I got my machine. Printing seems to be really good, but I am having problem printing the corners (pic attached). Can you help me with this problem. The back side walls of the case (rather I should say front sides when we put the phone in) are not printing fine. I have tried every option I could but still same result.[ATTACH=CONFIG]2340[/ATTACH]

Hi Nishu, perhaps try to press the silicon on the back side walls of the case after you start vacuuming? It will make sure the paper gets in contact with the case and pressed properly thoughout.

I use sunfly cases and after much trial and error I can get them out perfectly 9 times out of 10 and these are my rules for pressing cases.

1. Make sure the jigs are hot enough- I heat mine for anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes before putting a case on.

2. When applying tape don't put extra on the corners, works sometimes but allow the vacuum to do it's job.

3. Press the vacuum on and off then check the corners for tiny creates, where there is a crease it will be white.

4. Apply moisture to the crease and rub it away very VERY gently so to not disturb the ink underneath.

5. Apply vacuum make sure it sucks down enough so that the silicone is slightly over all corners, if not the front edge doesn't look great.

6. Heat for long enough, if your having trouble with the shape then put each one into the cooling tray individually and make sure all front edges are touching the bottom. If too loose pinch the top right corner down a tad. (This was only an issue for 4's with me)

7. MOST IMPORTANTLY- keep a journal of what works and what doesn't work, eventually you will find a method that works best for your setup.
