Re: Vertical Scoring Lines can anyone Help Me ?

Post by Uncle Dave »

Hi there - I am running both T13 & T1100 Epson Printers, both new machines & I am getting vertical score lines running down the printed page.
I can see that the dotted score lines are caused by the small toothed wheels which run accross the width of the printers - has anybody had a similar problem ?
We are using Texprint Sublimation Paper & proprietary inks.
The weird thing is that this has only just started happening, we used to use the old faithful Epson C67s which are no longer available & we never had a problem.
I hope somebody can shed some light on this problem for me.
Thanks Uncle Dave (dont ask) lol

This is caused by the inks not drying quickly enough and the pinch rollers are causing a mark. Could be the amount of ink your putting down on the paper and the type of paper your using. Sometimes changing paper to more of an instant dry paper may solve the problem

I noticed that with texprint paper i have to use diferent printer settings. I would normaly use matt oaper and photo settings. But with high relase papers like texprint i use normal paper and best quality. So this mean less ink on paper but print quality still excelent.

Thanks Paul - we did get on better today.
I am fairly certain now that we are getting too much ink on the paper.
I will definately try your tip tomorrow.
Thanks for sparing your time to help
