Re: Having problems with printer spitting our paper

For some strange reason my Epson R1800 just spits sheets of Sublimation paper through without printing.

It will print on plain 80 gsm bond bu does not want to accept my sublimation paper.

Any suggestions

Have you changed the paper settings on the printer options? Also, is it spitting out single sheets or multiple sheets stuck together?

Changing the settings to paper type might help. Been some time since I used an 1800 but am sure there were options for paper weight and coating etc. Sublimation paper is generally heavier than standard use paper so might not be suiting your current setting.

I've got the setting set for Archival Mate which is the setting it's supposed to be set on.

I've been able to persuade it to work with single sheets in the tray.

I've run through about ten sheets then it goes back to spitting oput the paper again but a reboot seems to bring it back in line.

It's a bit of a pest but I don't normally have to do that many sheets in a day.

I may give it a blow out wioh a compressor adn see if there is any loos junk in there effecting it.

Strange that feed 80 gsm bond and 100 gsm with no problems.

Who ever said that computers are straight forward..

Thanks for the input Andrew. It's nice to know that there are peope out there that will help.
