As mentioned I have purchased these and will report back when they arrive.
I will be able to tell immediately if they are fake and will report him to Ebay and possibly Sawgrass as well. Even though I do not like the Sawgrass hold they have over us, I hate fakers even more as it could potentially damage my business big time.

Ebay don't give a toss, they're just in it for the money! Trading Standards should be the first port 'o call.

Well I received the carts and inspected everything, (box colour the way the plastic bag had been sealed, the nozzle etc. etc.) and everything seemed to be exactly as Sawgrass "genuine".
I then spoke to Sawgrass who said two things...
Firstly that if I send them the bar code they will be able to tell me exactly when the ink was made and to confirm it was genuine, which they have. Also the lady said that she has seen carts for about this price before and essentially it is normally a company that purchases them in the hope of reselling but soon realise that sublimation is not a mass market product.
So after all this, I have a set of genuine Sawgrass inks for £50.00
Am one happy bunny
Would have gone back and purchased more, but it seems someone has beaten me to it.....!!!!!

You're very lucky then. If these come up again then we'll be buying them in bulk as well!!socialgiraffe;67328 wrote:Also the lady said that she has seen carts for about this price before and essentially it is normally a company that purchases them in the hope of reselling but soon realise that sublimation is not a mass market product.
I find the comment above difficult to believe from 2 points - 1. Sawgrass control the market tightly so they must know who they've sold these cartridges to and 2. you only get a Sawgrass account if you know your market so why (or how) a company could buy these trade if they didn't know the market is bizarre. This assumes they did buy trade (and lost money) or even more of a bodge, they bought retail and lost even more!

out of curiosity what was the expiry date on the cartridges? I think the listing just said 2013 didn't it?

Sponge: 31/10/2013

Not if I get there first (and ahead of another member on here!)If these come up again then we'll be buying them in bulk as well!!
Sorry Martin, should have explained better. At the time when I had the conversation with Sawgrass they had not received the images of the bar code etc that I sent. She only said what she said as a general thing. She did also say that sometimes they are sold off cheap because of the expiry date looming. This is fairly unlikely in this case as I have also purchased a set from MLP and the expiry date is only 1 month later.1.
