Re: Carrying sub stock

hi, just a general question.
do you guys (hobbiest/sell to freinds etc) keep much Blank sublimation stock. ive been having an increase in orders for xmas but find i dont have the items in the house so when i have to place a order i get hit with delivery costs which puts the price up of the item by double sometimes (if ordering 1)
how much and what would you keep in stock control, remember some people dont have hundreds of pounds to purchase loads of goods.
cheers

mugs are always cheaper by the case or double case, and dont take up too much room, its the poly mailers that are the bulkiest, but they do work as loft insulation  but the rest of the stuff, maybe 10 of each minimum, dont take up much room as most is flat. for me its t shirts & hoodies that take up the most room, keeping them in good condition, and pest free - so no outhouses sheds as just one mouse can make a mess of £££££ worth of stuff

I'm just starting up so I've bought a box of 36 mugs to get a better price than if I bought less. I've also stocked up with jigsaws as that will be my main seller [hopefully]. I've had the majority custom cut for me so had to pay for a certain number to be cut, again, to get a decent price.

I would never personally buy one of any item. I always buy at least two (or more). I do this so that if I make a mistake I can still produce the item I need and if I do not make a mistake there is always the possibility that after buying one the same client seeing the finished product will want a second (which I then have).

Poly mailers are the issue if you have little space, most sublimation products are light and easy to store. If you do not have much of a budget then you need to rationalise what you do order. I bet that a number of us have items that we ordered, do not promote and have been sat on for a while - which is not good business.
