Re: Templates for coasters etc

Post by Peter »

Hi there,
I have tried using the unisub templates attached to sticky above with no joy. It seems they dont work with Photoshop Elements 11 or at least not for me. I'm new to all this & would like to setup a template for doing coasters magnets etc...Any ideas?
Thanks,
Peter

i don`t understand why you need a template? why not just crop the image 93mmx93mm and then press print

Hi Peter

I agree with Peter here in that I am not 100% sure on what you are asking for.

I think what you need is a template that you can open in PE11 which will show you the coaster cropped before you print and press. If this is the case it is really simple and I could probably knock something up for you in a couple of minutes. Although I only use Photoshop I would hope that the file could be opened in elements. Before I do it, can you first tell me what size you want the area of the coaster and secondly are you familiar with PE11 and layers? Those two bits of info will help me in knowing what I can and can not set up for you.

Regards

Agreed, I dont use a template, just draw a 93mm box in Corel Draw (my graphics package of choice) import image into that. I then draw another box of 95mm around the final image then delete the 93mm box. This way it gives me a nice outline to 'line up' to which dosn't print onto the coaster, voila
