epson 1800

Hi folks,
Can anyone tell me if I can use an epson R1800 for sublimination? I have one but I've looked through this board and I can't see anyone using it seems like it's the Epson 1400 that's used. Is there a reason for this? Sorry new to all this and am curious of why nobody seems to mention this model.

Yes, you can use the Epson R1800 for sublimation. You'll probably find that most people think it's a little over the top for the job, 8 carts and the initial purchase price. They're also not supported by many of the usual suppliers.

The majority of people of perfectly happy with D88/D120 systems and they do a very good job. Personally for the work I do I find that the 1400 gives a much better print.

You can use an R1800. Most of the discussion here is probably of current models but the R1800 is a supported printer. If you're going to use this printer then make sure it is in perfect working order as fitting an Easyflow system to a printer is an expensive part. We can supply R1800 Easyflow systems with Artainium inks and ICC profile if you need but they would need to be ordered in as they aren't a current stocked item as the R1800 is now discontinued.

I have 3 R1800 and most of the time have no problems with them.

R1800's are the best printer set-up I have ever had. Used sublijet rather than artainium.
