Re: Ebay Suppliers

Post by TonyMast »

Hi all,

As I am brand new at all this and have just brought the press and printer, the next step to take is of course to buy the stock to print on.

So the first question I want to ask is about Ebay suppliers for mugs. The prices that are advertised on Ebay much lower than most of the suppliers listed in the forum. Is this because the quality will be lower, or that advertisers are working on lower margins.

Is there a difference in quality of UK or EU stock supply to that from the far East?

If any of you good people would like to give an opinion on this subject I would be most appreciating in reading the replies.

regards

Tony

steer clear of ebay unless it's a regular supplier who supplies to the dye sub already like coralgraph etc.
i thought the same when i 1st started get cheap off ebay i then swapped to a proper supplier and couldn't believe the difference, the colours were more vibrant and it just looked generally much better.

but it depends on your audience if your seller cheap cheap on ebay then buy cheap etc etc but ur reputation won't go up selling cheap

6 words which will stand you in very good stead "you get what you pay for" and remember a good reputaion is very hard to gain but very easy to lose sell substandard items and you will lose any customer confidence very quickly

Remember to be honest that there is rarely that much difference between eBay prices and supplier prices once you factor in shipping from multiple sources against placing a single order. I have trawled the net and found that eBay is not often much cheaper and as they say the quality is often unknown.

factor in the cost of C*** ups coz the product off ebay is not supported, and if it is cheaper, will doubtless be 'seconds'
