Epson B1100 - Constant Blockages!!

you need to take them out and replace with air filters. have you done that?

They are set up as in the attached picture - borrowed from the manual! The main bit is in place with the middle section pulled out.

Thanks for this, I tried something similar early this year but unfortunately it didn't work. Since then (and because of that) I've actually replaced the printer and even this morning it printed using original Epson carts perfectly, it's the blimmin' sublimation inks that are giving me grief :-( Therefore I don't think this is suitable at the moment?? Will definitely hang on to the info though - just in case... :-)

bin your ciss and use refillables :D far less problems! more refilling but less air blocks etc.

I think that may be the only way to get up & running at the moment!
On that note, could you let me know how the printer copes if left to stand with refillables in?
My problem is that I do this part time around a 'proper' job and therefore the printer stands idle for fairly long periods. With the ciss the heads dry up within a day or two meaning hours spent headcleaning etc :-( Do the heads still have this problem with refillables?

i use refil carts and as i said earlier i have left mine for a couple of months and it works straight away
i did have to give it 1 head clean the other day though ;)
but it is the 1st time i had to do a clean and i did move the printer about alot as we just moved.

Decision made then! I've found some on eBay so will order them and see how I get on! Of course in the meantime if anyone has any brainwaves of how I could achieve any printing today please let me know... :-)
