Printer Help required
Re: Printer Help required
Hello I am new to this forum and to sublimation printing, I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help and advice that I may receive.
I am currently branching out my Canvas printing business to include mugs, (by sublimation printing/pressing)
I bought a package including sublimation paper, heat press and a Epson s22 printer. I am aware that it is not a supported printer but will work, I am using refillable cartridges.
I use Coral paintshop pro.
I have filled the cartridges but on the printout the colours in the pictures aren't right. I am aware that they look different on the sublimation paper so I pressed one on to a cup and its still far from acceptable.
Any help in what to do next would be greatly appreciated.
Also what would be the best heat and time for the press? Is it recommended to heat the press first?
Many Thanks

What ink, paper, heat press, mugs etc - the more info the better the help will be.
You'll need a profile for the ink and the best times for heat pressing are around 180 / 180 to start with for mugs
Cheers John

They are white 10oz mugs for sublimation (made in China) and the paper is LoveCut 5760 DPI Ultra sharp Instant Dry Sublimation paper.
Would you recommend heating the press first?
Thanks

Re: Printer Help required
Hi I have tried to find one without success, I sent Paul a message (from here) but was unable to help as I have Coral not Photoshop. I spend some time going through other posts before posting myself as I bet you all get sick of this sort of questions from newbies.
Re: Printer Help required
I can't find a profile. The company who I purchased from (I will never use again) don't answer the phone or respond to emails after taking your money so no help from them.

Hi. Yes. You always heat up press first to recomended temp and then stick your mug in for recomended time.
regards profiles.and you software i think even if you will.find one or create custom one this.software is just bad for managing colors. So elements is the one i would recomend. Cheapest and best
